I have lived in Shenandoah for the past 36 years. I was raised in the Farragut Iowa area and graduated from Farragut High School. My family includes my wife of 43 years Julie and our two children, Wayland of Los Angles CA., and Kelly her husband Sean and our two granddaughters that live in Shenandoah. My Family has a long and deep attachment to the City of Shenandoah and the surrounding area.
I have spent most of my adult life in the sales and business management world. I did spend elevon years in the manufacturing field in many different positions.
I am currently serving as Mayor of Shenandoah, elected in 2021 to a four year term. I do plan to seek re-election in 2024. I first got into city government when I ran for a seat on the Park and Rec board, where I served 8 years.
I am a member of the Shenandoah Rotary Club and the Shenandoah Elks Lodge #1122 for over 30 years. While with the Elks I have had the honor to serve in local ,district ,state and National positions all for the betterment of our communities and our youth.
As Mayor I am so please to be serving on the Vision Shenandoah Board of Directors. I believe the city has been giving a great opportunity with the funds provided by the Lakin Foundation. As a small town in rural Iowa we are constantly looking at ways to retain our population and at the same time attack new families to town. As all small town we have had some wonderful ideas through the years but the fact that finding the money to pay for them seemed to always be the downfall. Now some of these dreams we have for the community can come true.
