My name is Julie O’Hara and I am a board member for the Vision Shenandoah Board of Directors. I lived in the Shenandoah area until 1986 when my family moved to Fort Collins, CO. I moved back in the spring of 1999 to marry my husband, Pat. We have been married 25 years, this upcoming July. We have 2 grown daughters, Rebecca and Hailey; and our son, Conor, will be a junior in high school next year. We are also blessed with an almost 3 year old granddaughter, Lila.
Professionally, I have been a licensed real estate agent for 18 years and a broker associate for the last 3 years. All 21 years, I have worked for Jim Hughes Real Estate.
Currently, I am the club president for the Shenandoah Rotary Club and am a past District Governor for Rotary District 5650 (2018-2019). I have been a board member of the Shenandoah Iowa Education Foundation for 7 years and am the Vice-President. I serve as the Clerk for the Page County Assessor Board of Review and a board member for the Shenandoah Chamber and Industry Association Board Member since 2021. In the past, I have been on the Page County Fair Board; Shenandoah PTO; Shenandoah High School Advisory Board; Shenandoah Public Library Board of Directors and the Shenandoah Booster Club.
When the opportunity presented itself to be part of the Vision Shenandoah Board and a team member with the Lakin Foundation, I was so excited to be part of it! This is something that can truly impact Shenandoah and Southwest Iowa. I have been proud to raise my children here and have a continued vested interest because of my granddaughter. This is home to some amazing young people, and we want them to come back to raise their families. I believe this is a chance to help our community thrive and keep our citizens here and enhance their lives!
